The life of Buddha

For those who want to practice English and learn about key persons who lived on our planet.

When I saw it yesterday, I noticed few interesting similarities with the life of Jesus - doesn't mean anything, I just noticed. For instance:

1. Birth of both was blessed by higher forces.
2. Prophecy that was about to fullfil: he would be either the King - ruler of the world (other people wanted) or Spiritual leader who will gain enlightment (both have chosen this).
3. Turning point when got matured (Budha - 16 - 36, Jesus - 30 - 33).
4. Extending and transcending tradition of fathers (Budha - Brahmins, Jesus - Judaism).
5. The goal: let all the people escape from endless suffering and death.
